It's Time - for leadership, opportunity, and a stronger Nevada.
★★★★★
The Lieutenant Governor of Nevada should not be a ceremonial position; it should be a driver of economic opportunity, workforce development, and government accountability. I’m running to turn this office into a results-driven engine for working families, veterans, and small businesses.
As a veteran, I bring a lifetime of service and leadership to this role. During my 18-year career in the United States Navy from October 2000 to June 2018, I had the honor of serving alongside some of our nation’s most courageous men and women. My deployments to the Middle East during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, in support of the Global War on Terrorism, strengthened my commitment to service, accountability, and mission-focused leadership.
Public Service Experience:
Appointed to serve a two-year term as a committee member for the Fourth Judicial District Court of Rapides Parish, LA. I served from 2009 to 2011 while still on active duty, overseeing a juvenile diversion program.
In 2022, I ran for the Florida House of Representatives for District 11 and was defeated in the November general election.
Public Policy Advocacy:
After moving to Jacksonville, FL, in 2013, I worked with local grassroots organizations to advocate for voting rights restoration for returning citizens, which led to the creation of the 2014 Florida House Bill 329 sponsored by Representative Clovis, known as the "Restoration Rights Civil Rights Act".
Four years later, in 2018, I continued to collaborate with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and the Florida Rising Organization, and the framework from Florida HB 329 led to the passage of Amendment 4.
Following my military service, in 2020, I published research on "The Mental and Emotional Cost of Incarceration: Prison-PTSD Study. The research was used to advocate to Florida lawmakers for mental health access and general counseling services for ex-offenders.
Clay County Change Makers Policy Advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participated in statewide need assessments to inform strategic plans for the Florida Developmental Council.
I have held senior leadership roles within state and county behavioral health systems across the country, working to improve access to care and strengthen community-based services. Along with developing programs and implementing policy initiatives at the state and local government levels.
Together, we can build a Nevada that is more affordable, more prosperous, and full of opportunity for everyone.
